Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI)

                   Established on January 8, 1949, Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (SYRICI) is located north of the Hun River in the historic city of Shenyang. SYRICI was the first comprehensive R&D unit for China's chemical industry which is mainly involved in research and development of fine chemicals such as agrichemicals, dyestuffs, intermediates, adjuvants, and related technology, and in production of high technology products.   SYRICI currently has 1100 employees, among whom 532 are technical specialists, 42 are professors or senior engineers, 105 hold senior technical positions, 12 hold Ph.D. degrees and 75 have M.S. degrees. It also has the National Pesticide Quality Supervision and Testing Center (Shenyang) and National Dyestuff Quality Supervision and Testing Center, National Research Center for New Drug Safety Evaluation (Shenyang), National Information Centers for Pesticides and Dyestuffs, Establishing Organization for Agrichemical and Dyestuff Standards, Agrichemical and Dyestuff Constituent Institutes of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China.   In recent years, SYRICI's research capability has increased, the quality of its financial operations has continually improved, and its scale of production has continued to enlarge. Its income increases by over 30% every year.
